Taking your puppy home
Once you have either purchased your puppy or placed a deposit down, you can then begin thinking about how you would like to get your puppy home so you can begin life together. Ideally we prefer to have all our clients come pick up their puppy in person. This ensures they can see first hand where our puppies are raised and also meet our pet parent’s. Yet some people may choose to have their puppies shipped via an airline or brought to a check point close to them. Which ever way you choose to meet your pup, some additional expenses are involved.
Picking up your puppy will be the most economical as you are in charge of your travel expenses. But if you are first time pet parents or simply need to get restocked on items to care for your pup consider purchasing these items before planning a schedule pick up time: Pet carrier, leash, harness, puppy pads, paper towels, plastic bags, water and food bowls, grooming supplies, bedding, treats, and food.
If you choose to have your puppy driven to a specified location we charge a price of $60.00 per hour of driving time, which covers the coast of the drivers fuel and some extra incentive to make the trip.
If you choose to have your puppy flown to you, you should also plan to pay for some additional expenses including a veterinary appointment for your puppy to obtain an official certificate of health. Other expenses include requires vaccines, fuel for the driver, an airline approved pet carrier, and the cost of the ticket. The typical fee charged to fly your puppy to you is about an additional $350.00- $500.00 aside from the cost of the puppy.
